We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Tutor to support pupils in the Chesterfield area. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young people who require additional support, helping them build confidence, re‑engage with learning, and achieve their full potential through personalised tuition.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition sessions to meet individual learning needs
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Adapt teaching approaches to suit different abilities and learning styles
- Build positive and supportive relationships with students
- Encourage confidence, engagement, and independence
- Monitor progress and provide feedback where required
- Maintain safeguarding and compliance standards at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with SEN pupils
- Tutoring, teaching, mentoring, or support experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, adaptable, and positive approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Experience supporting students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or additional needs
- Teaching qualifications or relevant educational background
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
