Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring and dedicated Education Support Worker to join a specialist primary school supporting pupils aged 3-11 with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
- Assist with personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
- Encourage communication, independence, and social development
- Support sensory, play-based, and practical learning activities
- Work alongside teachers, therapists, and SEND specialists
- Provide personal care where required
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Confidence supporting pupils with complex needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their potential
- Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or AAC communication methods
- Previous experience within a specialist school or care setting
- SEND-related qualifications or training
