Site Supervisor
Location: Primary School, Burnley
Hours: Full-Time over Split Shifts, Monday - Friday (Morning and Afternoon)
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and committed Site Supervisor to join our team at a friendly primary school in Burnley. This is a full-time position working split shifts during the school week, providing essential support to ensure our school premises remain safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards across the school site and will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the premises.
Working Hours
This role involves split shifts across Monday to Friday:
- Morning Shift: 6am - 10am
- Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm - 5:30pm
Specific working hours will be discussed at interview.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and securing the school premises each day.
- Carrying out routine inspections of the site and buildings.
- Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring the school grounds are safe, tidy, and well-presented.
- Monitoring health and safety standards and reporting any concerns.
- Liaising with contractors and supporting access arrangements.
- Managing deliveries and assisting with furniture and g equipment setup.
- Supporting emergency procedures and responding to site issues as required.
- Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or site supervision role.
- Be practical, hands-on, and able to undertake basic maintenance tasks.
- Have good communication and organisational skills.
- Be able to work independently and use initiative.
- Have knowledge of health and safety best practices.
- Be trustworthy, dependable, and committed to maintaining a safe environment for children and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
