We are recruiting for a supportive primary school in Burnley looking for a committed KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with junior-aged pupils and wants to make a real difference in the classroom.
The Role
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you may be supporting pupils across Years 3–6, working alongside the class teacher to:
- Provide general classroom support across KS2
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
- Support pupils with English and Maths interventions
- Provide additional support for pupils with SEND
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence
- Help prepare classroom activities and learning resources
- Support children to remain engaged and make progress
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Have previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school
- Have experience supporting pupils in KS2
- Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, or have strong school-based experience
- Are confident supporting children with varying abilities and additional needs
- Have a positive, patient and nurturing approach
- Are reliable, enthusiastic and able to work well as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
