Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential? Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to work within a supportive school in Bolton on a full-time basis.

  • Position: Behaviour Support Assistant
  • Location: Bolton
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, term-time only
  • Contract: Full-time
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Requirement: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle essential

You will be working closely with students who require additional behavioural and emotional support within the school setting. The successful candidate will help promote positive behaviour, build strong relationships with pupils, and support them both in and out of the classroom.

  • Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support to pupils.
  • Support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
  • Encourage engagement, attendance, and participation in learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Experience working with children or young people in schools, care, youth work, sports coaching, or similar settings.
  • Confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Resilient, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
