Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding opportunity?

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient individual to join a supportive school SEN provision, working with children who have high additional needs. This is a full-time role for someone who is committed to helping pupils reach their full potential through tailored support and positive relationships.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of complex SEN needs within the school's SEN provision.
  • Providing 1:1 and small group support.
  • Assisting children with communication, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
  • Implementing individual learning and behaviour support plans.
  • Creating a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with high additional needs.
  • Experience working within an SEN school, SEN provision, 1:1 support role, care setting, support worker role, or residential setting.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

Desirable:

  • Team Teach, MAPA or other behaviour management training.
  • Experience supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH or complex learning needs.
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant or Care qualifications.
