We are currently looking for dedicated and resilient Behaviour Intervention Workers / Behaviour Support Assistants to work within a specialist educational setting in Billinge, Wigan.
The role:
- Supporting pupils who present with challenging or complex behaviours
- Delivering positive and consistent behaviour interventions
- Helping pupils regulate their emotions and develop coping strategies
- Building strong, trusting relationships with young people
- Supporting pupils to engage positively with learning
- Working closely with teachers, SEN staff and pastoral teams
- Helping create a calm, safe and structured environment
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people
- Has experience in behaviour support, SEMH, SEN, youth work, care or similar
- Is calm, patient and resilient
- Can set clear boundaries while building positive relationships
- Understands the importance of consistency and positive reinforcement
