We are seeking a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting supporting pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), communication needs, sensory needs, and complex medical requirements.

The Role



  • As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with Autism, severe learning difficulties and complex additional needs

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual learning and care plans

  • Assist with communication, social interaction and engagement in learning activities

  • Support pupils with sensory regulation and emotional wellbeing

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, nurses and wider multidisciplinary teams

  • Encourage independence and celebrate individual progress

  • Support positive behaviour through a nurturing, person-centred approach

  • Assist with personal care where required
