SEN Teacher – Secondary SEN & SEMH Schools

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join specialist SEN and SEMH secondary schools across Basingstoke.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who wants to make a genuine difference to the education, development and wellbeing of young people with additional needs.

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and accessible lessons tailored to individual learning needs

• Support secondary-aged students with SEN and SEMH needs

• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment

• Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral teams and other professionals

• Build strong, positive relationships with students

• Support students with their academic, social and emotional development

• Adapt teaching strategies to meet a wide range of abilities and additional needs

• Promote confidence, independence and positive behaviour

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified teacher (QTS) or have relevant teaching experience

• Have experience working with, or a strong interest in supporting, SEN and SEMH students

• Be patient, resilient and passionate about inclusive education

• Have excellent communication and behaviour-management skills

• Be committed to helping every student reach their individual potential

• Have a nurturing, flexible and consistent approach to teaching

ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply, with appropriate support available.

• £34,069 – £52,835 per annum, dependent on experience and pay scale

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
