TP Tutors is looking for a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to Primary and Secondary-aged learners across OL13, Bacup, Lancashire. This is a rewarding opportunity to help learners build confidence and develop their English and/or Maths skills through personalised support.
The Role
- Deliver engaging 1:1 Functional Skills tuition sessions.
- Plan lessons tailored to each child's individual learning needs.
- Support learners in Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support different learning styles, including pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback after each session.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year's teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
- Experience with Primary and Secondary-aged learners.
- SEN experience.
- Strong knowledge of Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
