About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a vibrant, high-achieving academy in East London for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in young people's education and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, including those with additional needs
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
  • Assisting with behaviour management and pastoral support
  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development
  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people (school setting preferred but not essential)
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting pupil progress
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, flexible approach to classroom support
  • Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 TA qualification) desirable but not essential
