About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a vibrant, high-achieving academy in East London for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in young people's education and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, including those with additional needs
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Assisting with behaviour management and pastoral support
- Supporting pupils' social, emotional and academic development
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people (school setting preferred but not essential)
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting pupil progress
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, flexible approach to classroom support
- Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 TA qualification) desirable but not essential
