Tower Hamlets that is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional learning needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team where you will play a vital role in helping children develop academically, socially and emotionally.

  • Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Have

  • Team Teach certification (ESSENTIAL)
  • Previous experience working in a specialist SEN school or SEN provision
  • Confidence supporting pupils with Autism and challenging behaviour
  • Experience delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Your Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to pupils throughout the school day.
  • Assist with learning activities inside and outside the classroom.
  • Use Team Teach strategies to positively manage behaviour.
  • Encourage communication, independence and confidence.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and parents to support individual learning plans.
  • Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
