A successful and ambitious secondary school in East London is seeking an experienced and highly organised Data & Assessment Officer to join its administration and leadership support team. This is an excellent opportunity for a data-driven professional with experience working within a school environment and a strong understanding of MIS systems, assessment data, reporting, and examinations administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the school's data and assessment systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of student data, assessment records, and reporting information.
  • Produce performance reports, assessment analysis, and statutory returns.
  • Support senior leaders with progress tracking, data analysis, and school improvement priorities.
  • Coordinate and oversee internal and external examinations.
  • Manage exam entries, timetables, invigilation arrangements, results days, and certificate distribution.
  • Liaise with examination boards and relevant stakeholders to ensure full compliance with JCQ regulations.
  • Maintain student groups, timetables, academic calendars, and registration structures within the MIS.
  • Support staff with the effective use of school data systems and reporting tools.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection requirements.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience working with school MIS systems (SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom or similar).
  • Experience producing assessment data, reports, and performance analysis.
  • Strong Excel and data management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience within a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of examinations administration and JCQ regulations is highly desirable.
