As Procurement Manager, you will lead on sourcing and purchasing products and services and will have responsibility for Teach First’s procurement framework. You will use your technical expertise to secure value for money for the Charity in all its procurement exercises, whilst taking into account factors such as sustainability, ethical supply chains and risk management. You will guide the work of others around the organisation through developing their understanding of, and approach to, procurement exercises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Excellent negotiation skills and an ability to secure value-for-money for the charity.
  • Commercial and financial awareness, as well as an ability to manage budgets and keep costs down.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead.
  • Experience in managing projects and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Job Level: 3

DBS Required: Basic

Salary Package (£): 42,237.00

Compensation & Benefits: Employees based in London will receive £3000 London Weighting Allowance in addition to the advertised salary package. Advertised Salary, London Weighting Allowance and Annual Leave entitlement are FTE. They will be pro-rata’d for part time and fixed term positions. Teach First’s core benefits include 27 days holiday per annum (3 of which must be taken during the holiday shutdown period between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day), participation in the pension scheme via Salary Exchange (with an employer contribution of up to 6%), life assurance, income protection and private healthcare.
