At Provide Education & Teachers UK, we are dedicated to connecting skilled educational professionals with schools that prioritise creating outstanding learning environments. We are currently seeking experienced School Cook to work at a partnered school in the Worksop area on a temporary ongoing long term basis for 3 months to cover an absence. As a school cook, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the preparation and delivery of meals within the school. This position requires a proactive and organised individual with a passion for food and nutrition, ensuring the smooth operation of our school’s catering facilities.
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 9am to 13:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with dietary requirements and menu plans
- Ensure high standards of food hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
- Assist in managing stock levels and replenishing supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen areas and equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
The successful candidates will:
- Relevant qualifications in catering, food preparation, or hospitality are desirable
- Previous experience in a similar role within a school or catering environment is advantageous
- Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and health and safety standards
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
