About the Role

Teachers UK are recruiting on behalf of one of our partner schools in Nottinghamshire for an enthusiastic and committed Religious Education Teacher. This temporary position will run from 23rd February until the end of the academic year, providing vital support and continuity within the Humanities department.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive RE lessons, inspiring students to explore different beliefs, values, and cultures while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality RE lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assess, monitor and record pupil progress
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all students
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental objectives
  • Uphold safeguarding and pastoral responsibilities

Essential Requirements

  • Experience teaching Religious Education in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Passion for engaging young people in meaningful learning
  • Ability to start on 23rd February and commit until the end of the academic year

Desirable

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching across a range of year groups
  • Familiarity with GCSE RE curriculum
