Teachers UK is seeking enthusiastic, caring, and proactive Primary Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of welcoming primary schools in Mansfield and the surrounding areas. As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2), working alongside class teachers to help create an engaging, inclusive, and positive learning environment where every child can thrive.

Primary Teaching Assistant Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is desirable)
- Experience supporting pupils within a primary school setting is advantageous
- Understanding of the primary curriculum across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, positive and supportive approach to working with children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your own initiative
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply through Teachers UK
The Successful Primary Teaching Assistant Will
- Support pupils on a one-to-one basis, in small groups and within whole-class activities
- Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and participation in learning
- Support positive behaviour management in line with school policies
- Help create an inclusive, safe and nurturing learning environment
- Adapt confidently to different classrooms, year groups and school settings
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff and wider school teams to support pupil progress
