Are you confident managing a classroom and looking for flexible work in education? We’re working with a number of secondary schools across Mansfield who are looking for reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support them on a day-to-day, short-term and long-term basis.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom in the absence of a teacher and deliver pre-set work. This is a great opportunity if you’re considering a career in teaching or already have experience working with young people.
You will be responsible for:
- Supervising whole classes and ensuring students stay on task
- Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials
- Managing behaviour in line with school policies
- Providing a calm, structured learning environment
What We Do (And What to Expect)
We’re an education recruitment agency, which means we work closely with schools to provide staff when they need additional support — whether that’s for a day, a term, or longer. As part of the wider Operam Education Group, we support schools across the North and Midlands and have built strong, long-term relationships with them.
The reality of supply work:
- Some weeks are busier than others
- You may travel to different schools
- Work can be flexible, but not always guaranteed every day
The benefits:
- You choose when and where you work
- A great way to gain classroom experience
- Opportunities to move into long-term or permanent roles
- Exposure to a variety of school settings
We’re honest about supply — it’s not always predictable, but for many people, the flexibility and experience make it incredibly valuable.
About Us
We specialise in placing teachers, cover supervisors, teaching assistants and support staff into schools and nurseries. Our team includes people with real education experience, and we focus on building strong relationships with both our candidates and schools — not just filling roles, but matching the right people to the right environments.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with young people (schools, coaching, youth work, etc.)
- Confidence managing groups of students
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A flexible and proactive approach
What We Offer
- Flexible work to fit around your schedule
- Opportunities across multiple schools
- Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant
- Clear communication and honest feedback
- Potential for long-term and permanent placements
