Provide Education are seeking an Engagement and Learning Mentor for an Alternative Provision in Alfreton. Full time Monday - Friday Β£14.25 - Β£15 per hour.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Learning Mentor:
- To support pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2.
- To support young people with their learning both on and offsite under the guidance of a tutor.
- Improve the quality of learning and foster the participation of students in settings with social, emotional and mental health, personal development.
- To liaise with other professionals and work on a ratio of 2 students to 3 members of staff.
- To support students with emotional regulation and their behaviours.
- Use the relevant behaviour systems.
- To communicate with parents and carers when necessary.
- To record progress sessions.
The ideal candidate for the Learning Mentor role will have:

- Commitment to uphold the values and ethos of the setting.
- A proactive approach to learning and development.
- A nurturing attitude.
- Additional interests in sport, activities and vocational learning is admirable but not essential.
