Job title: School Business Manager
Teachers UK is seeking an experienced and strategic School Business Manager to join a well-established school in Gainsborough DN21, working as part of the senior leadership team to support the operational and financial management of the school.
This is a full-time position, playing a key role in ensuring the effective running of school operations, including finance, HR, administration and compliance.

School Business Manager role requirements
- Previous experience as a School Business Manager or in a senior school operations role
- Strong experience in financial management and budget planning
- Knowledge of school operations, HR processes and compliance requirements
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to work both strategically and operationally
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and governance standards
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
The successful School Business Manager will:
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting and reporting
- Manage HR processes, including staffing and recruitment support
- Lead on operational processes across the school
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and statutory requirements
- Work closely with the Headteacher and leadership team
- Manage and support administrative and support staff
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the school
