Provide Education are seeking an Engagement and Learning Mentor for an Alternative Provision in Alfreton. Full time, Monday - Friday, £14.25 - £15 per hour.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Learning Mentor:

  • To support pupils in Key Stage 1 and 2.
  • To support young people with their learning both on and offsite under the guidance of a tutor.
  • Improve the quality of learning and foster the participation of students in settings with social, emotional and mental health, personal development.
  • To liaise with other professionals and work on a ratio of 2 students to 3 members of staff.
  • To support students with emotional regulation and their behaviours.
  • Use the relevant behaviour systems.
  • To communicate with parents and carers when necessary.
  • To record progress sessions.

The ideal candidate for the Learning Mentor role will have:

  • A nurturing attitude.
  • Additional interests in sport, activities and vocational learning is admirable but not essential.
