Nuveen Infrastructure Clean Energy manages funds which invest in renewable power generation projects and assets in Europe. Investments include projects in development, construction and operation in four main areas: onshore wind, offshore wind, solar pv, and battery energy storage systems across Europe, APAC and the US.

Nuveen Clean Energy Asset Management Intern will provide support on a broad range of areas to the overall Asset Management Team. This will include preparing business models, presentations, research and analysis all within the clean energy sector. The intern will also work in specific asset tasks, supporting Asset Managers and Controllers in day-to-day asset management, as well as valuations.

  • Asset Management support
  • Pitchbook preparation
  • Strategy definition support
  • Budget (construction & operation) preparation and review
  • Cashflow preparation and review
  • Lender reporting and project finance management
  • Preparation of a project execution plan
  • Resource analysis and constraints
  • O&M and TCMA contract review and management
  • Construction report review and support
  • Support to Asset Controllers across different clean energy technologies
Specific knowledge and skills

The successful candidate will be expected to offer support to the broader asset management team. Consequently, whilst fluency in English is a necessity, further language skills will also be very beneficial. Knowledge of the renewable energy market will also be appreciated.

  • Highly motivated and proactive individual interested in investment funds and renewable energy
  • Minimum 3 years relevant financial service background preferred (including in banks, big 4 accounting firms, energy infrastructure funds, private equity funds, energy utility, consulting firms)
  • Relevant experience in the energy sector beneficial
Technical skills
  • Excel financial modelling experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Capable of communicating results to senior management and also capable of dealing with professional third-party service providers
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to raise and discuss areas of risk and concern
  • PowerPoint & Word (ability to prepare presentations and other corporate documents)

  • Excellent organisation and timetable management skills
  • Demonstrate sound business judgment and analytical skills
  • Be pragmatic and bring a creative approach to problem solving
Education requirements

A strong academic background is required as demonstrated by an excellent degree. MBA, CFA, CAIA, Masters in Finance and/or Masters in Management beneficial.
