Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for a Teacher of Physics to join The Mary Erskine School on a temporary basis from 14 August 2025 until August 2026 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The role is full time, term time, and remuneration will be on the ESMS Teaching Staff Salary Scale A (full time salary range £34,508 - £49,977 per annum). However, we may also be able to accommodate this as a part-time role for the right candidate. The role is based at the Ravelston site.
The successful candidate must be GTCS-registered, hold a subject-specific degree level qualification, and have familiarity with Scottish qualifications. They should be an excellent practitioner, highly organised, and capable of multitasking while maintaining high standards and fostering positive relationships within the school community.
Eligibility: ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
