Music Technician in Suffolk

Job Description /n We are looking for technical support on a casual basis for our performing arts events, concerts and productions, to include sound and lighting set-up, operation and pack down. /n /n Main Responsibilities: /n The main responsibilities include: /n /n - Assist with delivery of sound (and where appropriate lighting) for events as required. /n - Set-up equipment as required for events, concerts and the school show. /n - Liaise with Head of Music and the Music Department team prior to events regarding requirements. /n - Operate and manage sound during events and concerts including balance of microphones, DI and any AV requirements. /n - Provide technical support for technical rehearsals and sound checks eg Carol Service rehearsal. /n - Support the Head of Music with sound/lighting provision for the school show. /n - Operate lighting for the school show and/or oversee/assist students with operation of lighting. /n - Assist with get-out after events - packing away equipment appropriately. /n /n /n Ideal Candidate: /n The ideal candidate will have: /n /n - An interest in Music and performance /n - Ability to positively interact with students and members of school staff /n - Good communication skills /n - Ability to work as part of a team /n - Computer literacy (word and excel) /n - Good organisational abilities /n - Ability to manage deadlines /n - Ability to take the initiative /n - Flexibility /n /n /n Package Description: /n Being an employee of Northgate High School allows you access to an Employee Benefits scheme saving you money on many High Street brands, a cycle-to-work scheme, use of the sports facilities, library, and free parking.
