Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day operation of SGS theatres and performance venues, supporting a varied programme of productions, performances, commercial hires and community events.
- Act as the main point of contact for venue users, performers, production companies and hirers, ensuring an excellent customer experience from enquiry to event delivery.
- Plan and coordinate theatre schedules, including rehearsals, performances, technical requirements, venue setups and event logistics.
- Work collaboratively with technical, facilities, catering, marketing and safeguarding teams to deliver safe, professional and successful events.
- Promote SGS performance spaces and help grow commercial income through venue hire, partnerships and repeat business.
- Build strong relationships with arts organisations, schools, community groups and commercial partners, helping establish SGS as a vibrant cultural and community hub
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Experience coordinating events, bookings, performances, venue operations or customer-facing services within a busy environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to work with performers, hirers, community groups, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using booking, scheduling or CRM systems to manage events and customer information.
- Knowledge of health and safety, safeguarding and operational requirements within a theatre, events, hospitality, arts or venue setting.
