Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for 5x Sports Club Attendants, who hold a NPLQ, to join the Sports Centre on a temporary basis until 23 August 2026 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The role is available immediately, working 18 hours per week, on a working pattern of 3x 6 hour shifts, with an hourly rate of £12.83.
The Sports Club Attendants will be responsible for providing and maintaining a welcoming environment for customers whilst providing a high quality and proactive level of service. They will support the Sports Centre Duty Supervisor and the Manager with a range of duties, such as lifeguarding, customer queries and assistance and preparing activity spaces. They will work closely with all staff in the Sports Centre, members, and staff across the schools.
The successful candidates must hold a current NPLQ, with previous experience in a customer facing role or in the fitness industry being advantageous although not essential. Strong communication, organisational, and prioritisation skills are essential, along with the ability to multitask and work both independently and as part of a team.
Eligibility: ESMS is unable to sponsor the employment of international workers in this role. International applicants will therefore be unable to apply for and secure a Skilled Worker visa. The successful candidate will only be able to take up this role if they can demonstrate an alternative right to work in the UK.
