An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Chef Tournant to join our Catering Department. The Senior Chef Tournant will be responsible for providing management and direction to the Kitchen team in the provision of services within the Catering Department and to College Facilities, both for the Fettes Trust and its subsidiary companies. Specifically, the Catering Department provides three meals per day throughout term time and during the Summer Language School ‘term’, and one meal per day for primarily non-teaching staff at other times.

- Have a passion in providing excellent customer service.
- Have a strong background in a similarly high volume / high quality establishment and have excellent time keeping and time management skills.
- Passionate about food and delivering high standards each day.
- Experience in a similar role.
- To be competent and skilled to work in all areas of preparation, cooking and serving.
- Be a competent multi-tasker, who can work under pressure, and as part of a happy and committed team.
- An Intermediate Food Hygiene qualification would be preferable.
- Experience of Allergen Legislation and knowledge of special diets would be useful.
- Be aware of Health & Safety requirements within a catering environment.
- Able to meet the physical demands of this role: To be on your feet for the daily rostered hours, and to manage a high level of manual handling and physical dexterity.
- Have the ability to deal with the requirements and demands of meeting service deadlines.

Package Description: This is a permanent full-time role, working 35 hours per week on a shift basis, 5 over 7 days (with a one-hour unpaid lunch break).
Annual Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience.
