Overview
Are you dynamic, enthusiastic and caring and love working with children? George Watson’s College is seeking a Camp Assistant to join our team for an exciting, week-long Art Holiday Camp from Monday 13 – Friday 17 October 2025.
You\’ll support our Camp Leader and Camp Practitioner in guiding children of different ages and abilities through the exploration of the camp’s theme.
You\’ll be working in a supportive and collaborative environment, alongside colleagues dedicated to creating a fun and memorable experience for children and young people. This isn\\\’t just a one-off opportunity; it\\\’s a new role with potential for regular future holiday camp development. As we continually expand our program, we\\\’re looking for dedicated assistants to join our team for future opportunities.
Hours of work will be 35 hours per week, 8:30am – 4pm (including a 30 minute unpaid break).

Main Responsibilities
- As part of a dedicated team, you will support our Camp Leader and Camp Practitioner in supporting children in fun, engaging, and inclusive lessons and activities. Your primary duties will include:
- Helping to set up and clear away learning spaces
- Actively participate in activities, encouraging children’s involvement and enthusiasm whilst ensuring the safe use of equipment and resources
- Supervise groups of children under the guidance of the Camp Leader
- Assist with registration and sign-out procedures
- Support break times and lunch times as required
- Uphold the School’s safeguarding procedures and polices at all times.
The successful candidate will be required to complete mandatory training in health and safety, child protection, and fire safety, with all materials provided in advance.
