Package Description:
The Junior School are currently recruiting for a After School and Holiday Club Practitioner to join on a permanent basis. The position is available immediately (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks).
- During term time, hours of work will be 31.25 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 11:15am-1:15pm as an Early Years Teaching Assistant and from 1:45-6pm as an After School Club Practitioner.
- During school holiday periods, hours of work will be 26.26 hours per week, Monday-Friday from 1:30-6pm or 3-6pm (depending on site) on a rota basis.
Unqualified After School and Holiday Club Practitioners will be paid on ESMS e-Plus Scale point 8-11, within a salary range of £19,046 – £19,608. Qualified After School and Holiday Club Practitioners will be paid on ESMS e-Plus Scale point 13-16 within a salary range of £20,014 – £20,622). The role is based mainly at the Ravelston however the successful candidate may be required to work at the Queensferry Road site.
The purpose of the After School and Holiday Club Practitioner role is to provide full care for children attending the After School Club and Holiday Club, ensuring a safe, engaging, and fun environment. Key duties include supervising and interacting with children, planning and preparing activities, and maintaining a safe and tidy play area. The role also involves liaising with parents, contributing to activity planning, and supervising children during outings.
The successful candidate will be a kind, enthusiastic, and responsible individual who prioritises the interests of children and works well within a team. They will have experience working with children, possess or be willing to work towards a recognised childcare qualification, and demonstrate strong organisational skills.
