Job Description
2 MINIBUS DRIVERS – PART TIME, TERM TIME ONLY (Morning and Evening Shift)
• Morning shift is 8am to 9:30am
• Evening shift is 3:30pm to 6pm
• Both shifts required 5 days a week during term time.Â
• Other ad-hoc journeys will usually be during the school day.
• Shifts can be done by one person, or split across two drivers.
• £13 per hour.
No closing date – applications will be considered as and when we receive them.
Job Purpose
To drive the school minibus for the morning and evening Haymarket shuttle service, and other ad-hoc journeys as required. The role holder will also be responsible for routine inspections of the minibus fleet.Â

Head of Facilities/Business Director
Main Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
• Drive the school minibus in a responsible and competent manner, ensuring the safety of students, other road users and members of the public;Â
• Ensure the Haymarket shuttle service runs to time as far as possible to the set route and stops, and maintain records of students using the service;Â
• Be responsible for the safety and welfare of students during each journey;Â
• Report any behaviour or welfare concerns to relevant teaching staff colleagues;Â
• Carry out daily and weekly vehicle checks and basic maintenance and ensure the bus is clean and tidy before and after each journey;Â
• Refuel the minibuses as required;Â
• Report any damage or maintenance issues immediately;Â
• Be a good ambassador for the school, maintaining a professional conduct at all times;Â
• Declare any driving sanctions or convictions that may affect insurance or operation of the bus;Â
• Adhere to school policies on safeguarding and child protection at all times and attend training as required;Â
• Undergo an annual check of your driving licence.Â
