Location: Worcester. Start Date: Immediate Start. Salary: £180 - £220 per day.

Can you deliver engaging, differentiated lessons as a Secondary Teacher across a broad ability range?

TeacherActive is supporting a well-regarded specialist secondary provision in Worcester catering for learners aged 11-19. The school has a Good Ofsted rating and provides a structured, supportive environment for pupils with a wide range of additional needs including Cognition and Learning Needs (moderate to profound), Autism Spectrum Conditions, SEMH, ADHD, sensory impairments, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries and complex medical needs. The school’s ethos centers on inclusion, communication, and helping every young person reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons across the secondary age range with a strong emphasis on behaviour management, consistency, and supporting pupils to re-engage with learning.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of learners with a range of additional needs and learning profiles.
  • Collaborate with a supportive team and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom culture.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching in a secondary or SEND setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations
  • Experience supporting learners with SEMH, ASD, or additional learning needs
  • A resilient, patient and adaptable approach
  • The ability to differentiate learning to meet complex needs
