We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to support children and young people aged 3 to 19 years with additional needs in an OFSTED Outstanding specialist school. The role involves providing personal care, meal support, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy assistance and medication administration.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care and support to pupils across the school.
- Assist with personal care routines, mealtimes, tube feeding and medication administration.
- Support pupils during hydrotherapy and physiotherapy sessions.
- Help pupils access their environment and participate in activities.
- Implement training in manual handling, medication administration and specialist care procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience within a care, support work or personal care role.
- Patient, caring and respectful approach when supporting children and young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to support pupils with complex needs and additional requirements.
- Willingness to undertake training in manual handling, medication administration and specialist care procedures.
- Energy, enthusiasm and commitment to inclusion.
