Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School

Location: Bristol

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: £96.25 to £105 per day

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside experienced teachers, supporting students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Help pupils overcome barriers to learning, deliver small group and one-to-one interventions, encourage positive behaviour, and play an important role in creating an engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experience working with young people, either in schools or other educational settings
  • Confidence supporting students one-to-one and in small groups
  • An understanding of behaviour management strategies
  • Experience supporting students with SEN and/or SEMH is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach
