TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Wolverhampton that provides a nurturing and highly supportive learning environment for just 12 pupils. The school places a strong emphasis on communication, independence and positive relationships, offering staff the opportunity to make a real difference while working within a dedicated and collaborative team.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEND Teacher on a temporary to permanent basis, starting ASAP and continuing through September. The successful SEND Teacher will work with pupils across KS1 to KS4, supporting children with complex needs and non-verbal communication, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons while promoting each pupil's academic, social and emotional development.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching children and young people with SEND, particularly complex needs and non-verbal pupils
- Experience delivering differentiated lessons across KS1 to KS4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A patient, adaptable and compassionate approach to teaching
