Are you an experienced SEND HLTA looking for a rewarding role supporting pupils with complex additional needs? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Wolverhampton that provides a nurturing and highly supportive learning environment for just 12 pupils. The school promotes communication, independence and positive relationships, offering staff the opportunity to build meaningful connections with pupils while working as part of a dedicated and collaborative team.
The school is looking to appoint a full‑time SEND HLTA on a temporary to permanent basis, starting ASAP and continuing through September. The successful SEND HLTA will provide 1:1 support for pupils with complex needs who are non‑verbal across Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 4, helping to deliver engaging learning activities while promoting communication, independence and emotional wellbeing.
The successful SEND HLTA will have:
- HLTA qualification or relevant experience supporting pupils within a SEND setting
- Experience working with children and young people with complex needs and non‑verbal communication
- Experience supporting pupils across KS1 to KS4 on a 1:1 basis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, patient and adaptable approach
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
