TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Chesterfield, who are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant to join their SEND provision. The school promotes an inclusive and nurturing environment, with a supportive Senior Leadership Team committed to ensuring all pupils and staff are given the tools to succeed.
The school is looking to take on a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis until July, with continuation into September for the right SEND Teaching Assistant. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting a SEN child in Year 1 on a 1:1 basis, helping them to engage positively within lessons and supporting their social and emotional development throughout the school day.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children with SEND within a school setting
- Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis
- A patient, calm and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A proactive and adaptable attitude
