Do you have experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder / ASD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive school in Westbury that works with pupils aged 11 to 18 who have experienced challenges in previous educational settings. With small class sizes and a highly supportive environment, the school focuses on rebuilding confidence, developing positive relationships with learning and helping every young person recognise their strengths.
The school is looking to take on an LSA from September on a full-time, TEMPORARY, long-term basis. The successful LSA will support pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan / EHCP, primarily working with young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder / ASD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs, providing structured guidance, clear expectations and personalised support to help them engage positively with their education.
The successful LSA will have:
- Experience supporting young people aged 11 to 18 with additional needs
- Experience working with ASD and/or SEMH needs
- An understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans / EHCPs
- The ability to build positive and professional relationships with young people
- A patient, resilient and supportive approach
- A positive and adaptable attitude to supporting learning
