TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive SEND setting in Oldbury seeking a dedicated English Teacher. The provision supports pupils with SEMH and Autism, providing a structured and nurturing environment where learners can re‐engage with education. The school promotes consistency, care and high expectations for all students.

This long‐term English Teacher role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 learners with SEMH and Autism, delivering engaging and differentiated English lessons. The successful English Teacher will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons in line with school policy, with full PPA time provided. This role requires a calm, adaptable and consistent approach to support pupils with a range of additional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver and assess lessons for KS3 and KS4 pupils with SEMH and Autism.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies and maintain a resilient approach.
  • Work within school policy and methodology to support pupils' learning and development.
  • Maintain a structured and nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 level.
  • Experience working with SEMH and/or Autism.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.
  • Patient, resilient and adaptable approach.
