TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEN school in Telford that provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment for secondary-aged students with SEMH needs. The school is committed to delivering personalised learning, promoting positive behaviour and ensuring every student is given the opportunity to succeed both academically and personally.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEN Teacher on a long-term basis with the opportunity to secure a permanent position. The successful SEN Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for secondary-aged students with SEMH, managing behaviour positively and creating a safe, structured classroom environment that supports both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
The successful SEN Teacher will have:
- QTS and experience teaching within a UK secondary or SEN setting
- Experience supporting students with SEMH and associated additional needs
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
- Must have a valid DBS on the Update Service
