TeacherActive is proud to be working closely with fantastic SEND schools and families across the West Midlands, and we are seeking a SEND Teacher to join on a short-term basis, with the potential for the role to extend and develop into a longer-term opportunity for the right person.
Our partners encourage innovative practice, promote independence, and provide nurturing environments for learners with complex needs. This role will involve supporting students across all Key Stages, with diagnoses including Autism/ASD, SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), PMLD, SEMH, and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker who can confidently take control of situations is essential.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Experience supporting children and young people with additional needs
- Knowledge of therapeutic or holistic approaches
- Confidence working with complex behaviours and a varied curriculum
