Salary: £14.25 - £15.50 per hour

Overview

We are looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) from September on a temporary basis. The successful LSA will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to help pupils access learning, build confidence and develop independence, while providing both classroom and one-to-one support where required.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with additional needs in a specialist SEND school, ensuring their learning is tailored to individual needs and they can achieve their full potential.
  • Provide classroom and one-to-one support, facilitate activities, maintain a positive learning environment and collaborate with teachers and support staff.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable.
  • A caring, patient and positive approach to supporting pupils.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
