TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large and inclusive secondary school in the Gloucester area to recruit a Behaviour Support Manager on a permanent basis. The school has a strong focus on respect, responsibility and student wellbeing, creating a supportive environment where students are encouraged to thrive academically, socially and emotionally through positive relationships and high expectations.
The school is looking to appoint a committed Behaviour Support Manager to work full-time, term time only from September 2026. The successful Behaviour Support Manager will lead behaviour support provision including reflection and reintegration spaces, support students on both a 1:1 and small group basis, and work closely with pastoral, safeguarding and SEN teams to improve behaviour, engagement and attendance across the school.
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification relevant to education, behaviour support or SEND
- Experience working with children and young people with challenging behaviour or additional needs
- Strong understanding of behaviour management, restorative practice and de-escalation strategies
- Experience working alongside safeguarding, pastoral or inclusion teams
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, resilient and adaptable approach
