We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school, that are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. You will be working 1:1 with a child in Year 4 who requires additional support in class. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is calm under pressure, resilient, and passionate about making a positive impact on a student's lives, and being their 1:1 mentor they can build a trusting relationship with, in order to settle them into school.

What We're Looking For:

  • Confidence in managing and responding to challenging behaviours in a positive and professional manner
  • The ability to support children who may arrive at school upset, anxious, or dysregulated
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach when helping children regulate their emotions
  • The ability to think quickly on your feet and adapt to changing situations throughout the school day
  • Strong relationship-building skills to help pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn
  • Experience working with children with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs is desirable
