We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Walsall that is looking to appoint a dedicated Behavioural Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full‑time basis from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is calm under pressure, resilient, and passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children who may require additional behavioural and emotional support throughout the school day.
The Role
- Full‑time Behavioural Teaching Assistant within a mainstream primary school
- Supporting pupils who may display challenging behaviours or require additional emotional regulation support
- Starting September 2026
- Based in Walsall
What We’re Looking For
- Confidence in managing and responding to challenging behaviours in a positive and professional manner
- The ability to support children who may arrive at school upset, anxious, or dysregulated
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach when helping children regulate their emotions
- The ability to think quickly on your feet and adapt to changing situations throughout the school day
- Strong relationship‑building skills to help pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn
- Experience working with children with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural needs is desirable
