Are you a qualified Primary Teacher looking for a new opportunity across Wakefield this September? We are recruiting Primary Cover Teachers to work with our network of primary schools across Wakefield and the surrounding areas. From flexible day-to-day supply to long-term teaching positions and permanent opportunities, we can work with you to find assignments that suit your experience, availability and career goals. Supply teaching can also be a great way to experience different schools and year groups before deciding where you'd like to settle longer term.
The Role
- Deliver lessons across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 depending on your experience
- Plan and deliver lessons during longer-term assignments where required
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively
- Support pupils' learning and development throughout the school day
- Adapt to different school environments and routines
- Build positive relationships with pupils, teachers and school leaders
What We're Looking For
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate UK-recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience within primary education
- Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Are confident, enthusiastic and professional
- Can adapt quickly when joining a new class or school
- Have a genuine commitment to helping pupils achieve their potential
ECTs are welcome to apply alongside experienced Primary Teachers. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is desirable. If you don't currently have a suitable DBS, we can help you through the application process.
