Are you a Primary Teacher or Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work across Wakefield this September? We are recruiting Primary Cover Staff to join our growing supply team, supporting a large network of primary schools across Wakefield and the surrounding areas. We are looking for both qualified Teachers and experienced Teaching Assistants to provide reliable classroom cover and support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
Rather than being tied to one school, you'll have the opportunity to work across a variety of welcoming primary settings, covering planned and unplanned staff absences and providing additional classroom support where needed. Whether you're looking for regular work throughout the week, a couple of days to fit around other commitments, or the flexibility of day-to-day supply, we'd love to hear from you.
The Roles
- Deliver engaging lessons and activities across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Support teachers and pupils throughout the school day
- Follow lesson plans and resources provided by the school
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required
- Create and maintain a positive, supportive and well-managed classroom environment
- Support pupils with varying abilities and learning needs
- Adapt confidently to different schools, year groups and classroom routines
- Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
- Provide continuity and consistency during staff absences
- Help pupils remain engaged, focused and confident in their learning
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Primary Teachers with QTS or an appropriate UK-recognised teaching qualification
- Experienced Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants
- ECTs looking to gain experience across different primary schools
- Graduates with relevant classroom or education experience
- Candidates with experience working across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Individuals with strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable education professionals
- Staff who can quickly build positive relationships with pupils, teachers and school teams
