TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Dewsbury area, seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school is committed to providing a supportive learning environment where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially and emotionally. The school is looking to appoint a Primary Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September.
The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 and small group SEND support, assist with intimate care when required, and work closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils can access learning opportunities and achieve positive outcomes.
Qualifications
- Experience working as a Primary Teaching Assistant within a UK primary school
- Experience supporting children with SEND, including Autism/ASD and additional learning needs
- Confidence providing intimate and personal care support
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A patient, caring and adaptable approach
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
