Position Overview
We are seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) for a long‑term position supporting children in Key Stage 1 (KS1). This role is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant who can confidently support classroom activities independently, while working closely with the class teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children both in small groups and whole‑class settings
- Take initiative to manage classroom situations independently
- Collaborate with the class teacher to enhance pupils’ learning experiences
Person Specification
The successful candidate will possess:
- A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or at least six months’ experience working with children in an educational setting
- The ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Strong teamwork skills and a genuine commitment to contributing to the school community
- A proactive approach to managing and responding to classroom needs
- A passion for supporting and encouraging children’s learning and development
