Are you experienced in supporting children and young people with challenging behaviour? Do you have the resilience, patience and confidence to build positive relationships with pupils? Are you looking for a long-term Learning Support Assistant role within a supportive and consistent school environment?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist behaviour school in the Rhondda, supporting both Primary and Secondary aged pupils. The school provides a nurturing and supportive environment where positive relationships, consistency and individual progress are at the heart of everything they do.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant on a temporary basis, with the opportunity for a long-term role for the right Learning Support Assistant. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with pupils who display challenging behaviours, providing classroom support, promoting engagement and helping students achieve their full potential across both Primary and Secondary age groups.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour
  • Experience within an education, care, youth work or support setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
