TeacherActive is proud to be working with a vibrant and successful Primary Academy in Tilbury that is seeking to appoint a Senior Learning Support Assistant. As part of a highly regarded multi-academy trust, the school is committed to inclusion, high standards and providing pupils with the support they need to achieve their full potential within a welcoming and supportive environment.
The school is looking to appoint a part-time, permanent Senior Learning Support Assistant from September 2026. The successful Senior Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted interventions, support pupils with SEND through EHCPs and IEPs, mentor other Learning Support Assistants and contribute to the overall development and wellbeing of pupils across the school.
The successful Senior Learning Support Assistant will have:
- NVQ Level 2 in Learning Support, Early Years, NNEB or equivalent qualification
- Experience supporting children within a school or early years setting
- Knowledge of child development and the National Curriculum
- Strong literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to coach, mentor and support other adults within the classroom
